Our Doctor

Dr. Tariq has been practicing in Houston area for last seven years. He has performed thousands of injections/procedures on people with low back pain, neck pain and joint pain. He is passionate about helping people regain their physical and psychological health that these painful conditions take away. Dr. Tariq currently serves as the Adjunct faculty with UT- Memorial Hermann TIRR and is also Medical Director of Houston Spine and Joint Pain Consultants.


Dr. Tariq completed his internship in General Surgery at Union Memorial Hospital; Baltimore and his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at prestigious Baylor College of Medicine.

 

He went on to complete his Interventional Pain and Spine fellowship at Pain and Spine Consultants, Nashville, TN where he trained in invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures in treating back and neck pain. He is also trained in Ultrasound guided musculoskeletal and joint injections. Dr. Tariq’s area of interest is in the treatment of back, neck, chronic spine related and fibromyalgia pain management.

 

Dr. Tariq earned his medical and post graduate degree from J N Medical College-Aligarh; India. He worked as a General Surgeon from 2003 until his move to the United States in 2006. 

 

Dr. Tariq is board certified with American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and American Board of Pain Medicine. He is also certified as a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP), the highest distinction for an interventional pain physician from the World Institute of Pain. He is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Outside of work he is trained Pilot with more than 100 hours of flying Cessna. He also enjoys playing cricket, chess and pool and flying kites.

 

 

 

 

Dr. Sara Goel DO is a double boarded Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist by training who focuses on pain management.

 

She completed her residency at Baylor College of Medicine/UT PM&R Alliance after which she focused on an interventional spine and chronic pain management fellowship at Northwestern University/Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.

 

To pursue her medical degree she attended Western University of Health Sciences with a specialty training in osteopathic manipulation. She obtained her board certification from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as American Board of Pain Medicine.

She is skilled with update to date treatments and is committed to providing comprehensive patient care for headaches, joint and spine related pain via a multidisciplinary approach incorporating medication management, manipulation and physical therapy in combination with interventional management.
